    Wonderful
What a game changer. I previously followed recipes from very elaborate cookbooks and each week it seemed so daunting to grocery shop and cook. This book is wonderful especially for us moms of littles that need to make quick, easy, nutritious meals for the family. Thank you, Emily, for making cooking easy and fun again.

Beautiful with lots of easy recipes
Firstly, this cookbook is BEAUTIFUL! As a photographer and graphic designer myself, I can appreciate both the photos and the overall design and organization of the book. It’s so satisfying to flip through the pages.
Next, while the recipes themselves are not necessarily what I would personally select for myself in this stage of life (low carb/keto/vegetarian/whole foods) I do recognize that they are ideal for young families, single adults, or really anyone who is busy and doesn’t have time to curate recipes and gather complicated ingredient lists. I purchased this cookbook as a gift for my college student. He knows how to cook and he’s good at it, but in his environment, he doesn’t have time or the inclination to get creative and messy in the kitchen. He tends to make the same tried-and-true recipes over and over. I am certain that this cookbook will be a wonderful jumping off point for him to cook more at home, and hopefully consume less fast food.

Sad to see so many recipes with processed foods.
I know this is a cookbook to make getting meals on the table easy, but I was so disappointed to see the cans of soup and so many processed foods in the recipes. I’m going to be returning the book. Easy and flavorful can be done with better quality ingredients.

Hate to cook? This book is for you!
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but like Emily Ley’s Substack and figured what the heck, I’ll support her book. Wow, am I happy I got this! I’ve had the book for less than a week and have made 2 things (pasta salad, Hashbrown bake, both yummy crowd pleasers!) and plan to have several others in the meal plan for the remainder of March. Coming from me, that’s high praise!
I’m the picky eater of the family and flipping through the book, I kept thinking, “yeah, that looks good, we should try that, etc.” I’m not a big fan of cooking (another story for baking), and the recipes in this are easy and fast with normal people ingredients.
I highly encourage anyone who hates to cook and/or has picky eaters to check this out! Emily, thanks so much for breathing life into my meal planning!!

    Wonderful, simplified meals
The best cookbook for busy parents! The meals are simple, tasty, and quick. So thankful for a truly simplified approach to family meals.

    Simple and fine
I really like this cookbook. I preordered it and was excited when it arrived. All the recipes seem to be less than 6 ingredients. The only thing is that some recipes are so simple that I’m surprised anyone would need a recipe to make them. I’ve made like 4 recipes in the 5 days I’ve had it. Most have been fine – nothing amazing so far, but it’s fed my family in an easy way and made meal planning easy, so that’s a win.

Perfect for Non-Cooks — Delicious and Easy!
I’m not someone who usually enjoys cooking, but Simplified Cookbook has changed that! The recipes are so easy to follow, and the ingredients are simple — no hunting down fancy stuff. The Chicken Enchiladas and the Sunday Morning Casserole have already become family favorites in our house. Everything turns out so flavorful with minimal effort. If you want stress-free, delicious meals, this cookbook is a must-have!

A must buy cookbook for the busy woman or man in the home!! You will not regret!
This cookbook is perfect for the woman who works outside the home but needs to get supper on the table overnight for her family, and also for the woman who isn’t big on cooking lavish meals, but doesn’t want to sacrifice flavor. Packed with tips and super easy recipes, in Emily Ley’s impeccable style. Love it!
