A great but tough read!
This book almost threw me into depression at one point, I felt discouraged at the thought that raising my strong willed child would constantly be a battle. But realizing this has also helped my husband and I create plans & start implementing strategies now (the early years). It also gave me insight to recognize what type of child I was & realizing how I turned out despite the odds and sometimes inadequate parenting. It also brought to light some issues still at play today with my parents. I highly recommend this book and encourage you to keep reading it, especially when you start to feel discouraged or hopeless in this battle of raising a strong willed child.

A MUST read for parents
Wow, did this book ever help us. Thank you so much Dr Dobson for writing it. Tremendous insights into changing the bad behaviors of your child. Makes me ask, “Why didn’t I think to do that?!” So very encouraging.
This book is worth it’s weight in GOLD if you have small children.

Very good book. It helped me realize that I am …
Very good book. It helped me realize that I am a parent first, not just a friend. Good advice that helps. Although it’s not easy, sticking to your guns and following through as a parent is essential to success.

Very little advice. Very poor quality parenting style. No strategies whatsoever. I was very disappointed.
