Lauren Tarish does it again.
Great graphics for a tragic yet heroic story. WWII stories like this show how people come together to save others from evil.

Great history lesson
I bought this book for my 10year old son who is very interested in History, especially WWII. The day I received this book, he had already read half of it. He finished it the next day. He thoroughly enjoyed it. He reads these specific “I survived” books at school, so these are a favorite. He said that they are part “comic” style books, so they’re entertaining, and then they also are a novel whilst telling true facts about the history of the war. I would highly recommend these to kids who are interested in our nations history without having to worry about any other “fluff”.

Great for 8 year old boys
My son absolutely loves this series. I used this particular book as a bribe for some school work. Well it worked, and he read the entire book in a day. These are great for getting a fictional but based on real live events perspective that engages boys from 8-11+ I’d say in a book, albeit a graphic novel, but it is still reading. I would say they can have some violent themes (I’m mean it is about World War II- this particular book), so be wary of that if that is something you are wanting to limit.
