Clear, concise and valuable pet photography information for professionals and hobbyists!
Thank you so much, Kim Hartz, for putting this book together to showcase and share all of your many years of pet photography experience and knowledge. I love that I will be able to easily go back and reference many of the topics-studio lighting, OCF on location, posing, props, style, lighting diagrams and more! I appreciate that for everything that is explained there is one or more photos (or a diagram) to refer to. I am so excited to add this book to my pet photography book collection! ~Angie Rose

Great book
Great book. Although I had watched videos on Hair of The Dog academy and it was the same info as in the book.

Knowledge put in a very understandable way!
I loved this book! Kim has a way of methodically presenting an approach to dog photography that makes it easily understandable. The images are very helpful to further show her instruction. I highly recommend getting this book. You will be amazed by your new end results with this knowledge.

Almost no information
This book took less than an hour to go through and contained almost no substance. If you know anything at all about studio photography of any type, you will not learn anything new. Basically, use a light, get multiple angles, use noises to get a dogâs attention. My *favorite* part was the using flash on location section which pretty much boiled down to âUse flash. Mess with your settings until they are right. Your photos will look better with flash.â This was honestly disappointing.

GREAT Book HIGHLY RECOMMEND
It wasn’t like your typical boring book about animal photography. I literally read the book in one day. Once I started I couldn’t stop. I’ve read quite a few animal photography books only to be let down. The photographers did not take the style of photos I was attempting to get.

The author gives lots of good tips for photographing dogs in the studio. She includes lighting sets ups, a guide to picking props, and ideas on posing. Good all-around guide.

I was excited for this book, thinking it would be educational. Shipping took a long time, this book is no where near worth the price tag. The photos are nice sure, but the content is bare minimal. I learned absolutely nothing, there is zero context to take away. The main message, use lighting for better photos. Thatâs it. Doesnât give much tips past that. Use lightâ¦.. gee thanks⦠care too go into details?? Or just tell people to use it and figure it out⦠best of luck? Honestly sooo not worth the money. Small book, not many pages, mostly photos and just poorly written. Should only cost like $5 bucks if you want to view some dog images. I wouldnât recommend this book. To give you an idea how small, I read the entire book in less then an hour. Soooo disappointing!!
